Pilipchuk: The Torpedo players have not lost their motivation
Roman Pilipchuk, the head coach of the "Chelyabinsk" team, spoke about the team's goals in an exclusive interview with the website "Euro-Football.Ru". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The team is participating in the Parimatch Liga (FNL) for the first time. When asked about the victory against "Torpedo" in the first round of matches, which is considered a result above the team's capabilities, the coach expressed a different opinion.
He stated that they studied the opponent thoroughly and prepared for a week, mentioning that the first goal in the game was conceded due to an unnecessary mistake. It was also noted that this was the first game in the FNL for three players, and they were a bit nervous.
The coach emphasized that the team was well-organized at every stage, which positively influenced the outcome of the game. When asked about the team's budget, he stated that he would only answer questions related to coaching.
Speaking about the team's potential, he highlighted that there was little time for rest and to attract new players due to the previous season ending late. At the same time, he mentioned that the management took all measures to provide the team with a strong lineup.
He noted that it is natural for physical condition to decline towards the end of the game, as players are in various functional states. The team is currently trying to find balance.
Regarding "Torpedo's" exit from the Russian Premier League, the coach stated that he is not aware of the internal situation, but considering that "Torpedo" is participating in the FNL, he believes the management made the right decision. He did not express a clear opinion about the motivation of the opposing players, stating that only the head coach of "Torpedo" could know that.
However, he emphasized that "Torpedo" did not play weakly in the game and that the opponent is a strong team. When discussing the team's previous goals, he mentioned that the management wants to see them in the top ten of the league.
The head coach stated that he aims to compete for higher positions. He also noted that he is considering the possibility of promotion to the Premier League in long-term plans.
According to the coach, the team has just started playing in the FNL and he mentioned that this is a historic victory, expressing their intention to continue striving forward. Finally, he emphasized the importance of the coaching ideas being implemented by the players on the field and noted that success is dependent on the team's efforts.
