The head coach of Turkmenistan's Serik Belediyespor team, Sergey Yuran, confirmed that the Russian defender Kirill Gotsuk has been appointed as the team captain for the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It is worth noting that last Saturday, the club officially announced the signing of a two-year contract with the 32-year-old player. Additionally, another Russian player, Dmitriy Tikhiy, has joined the team.
Yuran emphasized that both new players have significant experience in the Russian Premier League (RPL). Gotsuk appeared on the field wearing the captain's armband in a friendly match against the Bodrum team.
According to the coach, Gotsuk and Tikhiy are experienced players who have played in many matches in the RPL. Gotsuk will serve as the team captain in the new season.
The defender came to Serik Belediyespor from the Pari NN club, where he participated in 168 matches, scored 14 goals, and provided 10 assists. Thus, the new season will see the emergence of experienced and skilled players in the team, which will help enhance Serik Belediyespor's competitiveness.
