According to Sky Sports, the 27-year-old player underwent a medical examination for the Catalan club on Monday morning. Rashford is expected to be officially presented as a Barcelona player on Wednesday.
He will be the first English player to play for the Catalans since 1989, when Gary Lineker was part of the team.
It was previously reported that an agreement had been reached between Barcelona and Manchester United for Rashford's loan. The contract also includes a purchase option of 30 million euros, along with bonuses.
This transfer is being made to strengthen the team's attacking line.
