According to "RBK Sport," citing its sources, last season the Northern capital team was the leader in terms of the number of spectators among all clubs in the Russian Premier League, as stated in the official league report.
In the last season of the Russian championship, "Zenit" secured second place, falling short of "Krasnodar" by just one point. The new season started on July 18 and will conclude on May 17, 2026.
The team, led by Sergey Semak, won 2:1 against "Rostov" at home in the first round. This result indicates a good start to the season for the team.
