
Italian striker Mateo Retegi has concluded his career at "Atalanta" and signed a contract with the Saudi Arabian team "Al-Qadisiyah". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The transfer fee amounted to 67 million euros, and the agreement is set until 2028. The 26-year-old footballer expressed his gratitude to the club and fans before heading to Saudi Arabia.
He thanked "Atalanta" for the years spent there and emphasized that it is an honor to be part of a big club. He expressed special gratitude for the attention from coaches, doctors, and staff.
He also thanked the management for their trust and the support from team members. Retegi noted that he will always keep this period in his heart and is leaving with warmth.
Last season, he became the top scorer of the Serie A championship, scoring 25 goals. In total, he played 49 matches for "Atalanta", scoring 28 goals and providing 10 assists.
