The management of the St. Petersburg "Zenit" club announced on behalf of the chairman Alexander Medvedev that Brazilian midfielder Vendel is planned to be registered for the current season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Medvedev, Vendel will be registered as a "Zenit" player in accordance with the established application procedure. Last season, Vendel played a total of 27 matches for the team in all competitions, providing 13 assists and scoring 2 goals.

Recently, the 27-year-old player, although he missed the pre-season training sessions, attracted interest from the Saudi Arabian club "Al-Ittihad." Although the club rejected the offer, the Saudis may consider negotiating again in the future.
