In the second leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16, "Al-Nasr" defeated "Istiqlol" 3-0 at home and advanced to the quarter-finals. After a 0-0 draw in the first match, the Saudis answered all questions in the return leg.
In the 9th minute of the match, Jon Duran put "Al-Nasr" ahead. In the 27th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot, increasing his team's lead. The home side continued to be active in the second half, and in the 84th minute, Duran scored again.
"Al-Nasr" dominated throughout the game – with 22 shots, 68% possession, and 90% accurate passes, punishing their opponent. "Istiqlol" was left with one player less in the 45+2 minute and could not show any resistance.
