Forward of Kazan's "Krasnodar" team David Kobnan Mozes expressed his views on the current restrictions on the number of legionnaires. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the nationality of a player is not important, but rather their strength and suitability for the game is the main criterion. Mozes stated that there should only be players on the field who truly deserve to play in the game.
It was previously reported that the Russian Ministry of Sports is planning to reduce the number of legionnaires in the elite football league. According to the new rules, the number of legionnaires on the roster for the season will decrease from 13 to 10, and on the field, 5 legionnaires can play at the same time instead of 8.
According to the latest information, initially, ministry representatives were ready to discuss this issue with the Russian Football Union. However, in the current situation, their opinion may not be taken into account.
How these changes will affect the development of football in the country will become clear over time.
