Dmitriy Gafin, chairman of the board of directors of the Moscow "Dinamo" club, expressed his opinion on the limit for foreign players in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that they are currently operating based on the existing limit. According to the current rules, clubs in the Russian Premier League can register up to 13 foreign players, of which 8 can participate in the main lineup.
According to the latest plans of the Ministry of Sports, these numbers are expected to be reduced, with the number of foreign players being lowered to 10 and 5, respectively. Gafin also mentioned that the issue of foreign players could be resolved on its own with the development of children's and youth football in the country.
Despite various rumors during meetings and discussions, work is being carried out based on the current rules. It was emphasized that this issue is of significant importance for the future of Russian football.
