According to journalistic sources, the 32-year-old Swiss footballer has undergone a medical examination and is expected to sign a two-year contract with Sunderland. An agreement has been reached between the teams regarding the transfer deal, with the transfer fee set at 20 million euros.
Last season, Granit Xhaka played a total of 49 matches for Bayer in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing seven assists. It should be noted that Sunderland returned to the Premier League after winning in the additional matches held last spring.
