Kosovo midfielder and former captain of the “Ahmat” team, Bernard Berisha, provided information about the summer transfer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He spoke about the reasons for leaving the Grozny club. He stated that the president of “Ahmat” informed him that the club no longer needed his services.
I did not expect this, as I was with the team during the pre-season preparations and played at a good level. Such a decision surprised me a bit, but I consider it football, Berisha said in an interview with “Championat.”
Bernard spent eight years at “Ahmat” and defended the club's honor from 2017 to 2025. In total, he played in 199 matches for the team.
Previously, he only played for the “Anzhi” club in Makhachkala, Russia. The Kosovo player has repeatedly stated his intention to end his career at the Grozny club, and his son also studied at a school in Grozny.
So far, Bernard has not found a new team. He also mentioned that he received a valuable gift from the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, after one of the matches in the Russian championship.
