Central defender Saul Koko was in the interest of the "Spartak" team from the "Torino" club during the summer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the publication "Evro-Futbol.Ru", the Moscow club offered a maximum sum of around 16 million euros for Koko. However, since "Torino" wanted to earn more from the transfer, the "red-whites" turned their attention to other candidates.
Saul Koko can play in several positions — as a central defender, right-back, and central midfielder. Last season, he played in 34 matches for "Torino" and scored two goals.
"Spartak's" next match will take place on July 30, Wednesday. The team will face "Rostov" away in the Fonbet stage of the Russian Cup.
In this match, "Spartak" is preparing to showcase its capabilities.
