“Lokomotiv” team head coach Mikhail Galaktionov shared his thoughts with “Match TV” channel after the match against CSKA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the coach, two different lineups and two different halves were observed in the match. “Lokomotiv” did not deserve to lose based on their game and actions.
The result, of course, is not pleasing. In the first half, the players were getting into the game, trying to adapt to each other.
Several opportunities arose, particularly, Samoshnikov could have scored. However, CSKA took advantage of their opportunity.
In the second half, we intensified our attacks, played more on the opponent's side of the field. The players who came off the bench performed well and increased the pace.
According to my inner feelings, we were closer to the second goal. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to lose caution and focus, otherwise the opponent's chances of coming back into the game increase.
The coach also commented on Nikolay Komlichenko. According to him, Komlichenko is currently struggling to find his game.
Although the lineup in the first half was not the most optimal, more activity was expected from the player. However, the coach emphasized that he knows the player's strengths well and it is necessary to fully utilize these opportunities.
In the last game, Komlichenko also came on and added strength to the team's performance. The coach positively assessed Daniil Veselov's debut as well.
In his opinion, Veselov showed himself well in his first game and was able to help the team. Although the result was negative, the player deserves praise.
Information was also provided about Sergiy Pinyayev's condition. The coach mentioned that he played for 30 minutes today, and after talking with the doctors, it was confirmed that everything is fine.
Pinyayev missed the preseason training, so he is planned to be gradually integrated into the main lineup.
