The workers of the “Ximki” football club, located near Moscow, addressed an open letter to the Russian sports leadership after the club lost its professional status and began bankruptcy proceedings. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Local media reported on this matter. The letter emphasizes that many employees who worked at the club have still not received their due wages.
The authors of the appeal expressed distrust towards the club's management and the main investor Tufan Sadigov. They noted that Sadigov is not fulfilling his obligations to the employees, yet he has recently started financing the Turkish club “Serik Belediyespor.”
Additionally, the letter reminded that the “Olimp-Dolgoprudniy” club, which was also financed by the same entrepreneur before “Ximki,” ceased operations in 2022 based on a similar scheme, did not receive a license, and debts were not paid. The authors appealed to the sports minister, the Russian Football Union, and the leaders of the professional football league, asking why the laws allow club owners to evade obligations to employees and why previous inspections did not identify the problems much earlier.
They emphasized that such situations need to be prevented.
