The former midfielder of Moscow's Spartak football club, Valeriy Kechinov, expressed his opinion about the transfer fee of Spartak's new player, Jedson Fernandes. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Spartak purchased Jedson Fernandes from Istanbul's famous football club Besiktas. The club paid 20 million euros for this player.
Additionally, according to the agreement, Besiktas has the opportunity to receive another 5 million euros as a bonus. Some media outlets emphasize that Spartak has spent a total of 27 million euros for this transfer.
According to Valeriy Kechinov, he does not have enough information about Jedson Fernandes, has not seen his games, and has not followed his career. Nevertheless, he noted that if the transfer fee for the player is equal to 27 million euros, he could be a high-level player.
According to Kechinov, Jedson Fernandes will play in the position of Esekiel Barko on the field. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how head coach Dejan Stankovich utilizes the new player.
It has been reported that Jedson Fernandes's transfer became the most expensive transfer in Spartak's history. Previously, the club's most expensive purchase was Levi Garcia, whose transfer fee was 18.7 million euros.
