Frenkie de Jong is planning to stay at "Barcelona"

Barcelona football club midfielder Frenkie de Jong has announced that he is planning to sign a new contract with the team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The 28-year-old Dutch player's current contract is set to last until June 2026. After that, he will have the opportunity to leave the team as a free agent.

According to media reports, the Barcelona club management is considering extending De Jong's contract until 2028, as well as the possibility of an additional season. In an interview with ESPN, Frenkie de Jong stated that the contract has not yet been extended, but he emphasized that he is satisfied with all the conditions.

According to him, the club is also pleased with him. De Jong expressed confidence that the agreement will ultimately be renewed.

For reference, Frenkie de Jong has been playing for Barcelona since 2019. So far, he has appeared in 259 matches for the club in all competitions.
