Byshovets analyzed strong teams in the Russian championship
The Russian specialist Anatoly Byshovets has previously worked as a coach for the Russian national team and Moscow's Lokomotiv team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He shared his thoughts on the teams competing for the title in the new season of the Russian Premier League. According to Byshovets, there is currently not enough basis to definitively say that Zenit is a contender for the championship.
The reason is that many games have not yet been played. At the same time, he emphasized that there is no need to make a definitive conclusion about the Krasnodar team either.
The specialist positively assessed Lokomotiv's performance in the new season, but did not provide a clear forecast regarding the team's future results. It is worth noting that the reigning champion Krasnodar has collected three points in two rounds.
They defeated Pari NN in the first round, but lost to Lokomotiv in the second round. Zenit, which finished second last season, showed slightly better results in two games.
They defeated Rostov and drew with Rubin. Although Lokomotiv finished last season in sixth place, they have currently accumulated six points and are at the top of the league table.
