Ponomaryov: CSKA will win against Zenit with a score of 1:0

Former CSKA defender Valentin Ponomaryov predicted which team will win in the match between "Zenit" and "CSKA" that will take place in the third round of the RPL. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In this match, "CSKA" will play as guests. Currently, both teams have accumulated four points after two rounds and are positioned at the top of the tournament table.

According to Valentin Ponomaryov, he rates "CSKA"'s chances highly. He believes that "CSKA" showed a good performance against "Lokomotiv" in the last cup match.

On the other hand, "Zenit" is acting uncertainly in defense. For this reason, Ponomaryov emphasized that "CSKA" needs to score and keep their goal intact.

In his opinion, "CSKA" will win the match with a minimal score of 1:0. The match will take place on August 3 in St. Petersburg.

The game will start at 18:00 Moscow time. "CSKA" finished third in the RPL last season and is currently the holder of the Russian Cup.
