Former president of the "Spartak" football club Andrey Chervichenko expressed his thoughts on the match between "Spartak" and "Akron" in an interview with the "Euro-Football" online publication. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the draw result recorded in the match is not fair. Chervichenko emphasized that the "Akron" team played better and deserved to win.
In his opinion, it was fortunate that another player, not Dzyuba, took the penalties for the "Spartak" team. If Dzyuba had taken the penalties, the Moscow club would not have been able to take points away from Samara.
Commenting on the performance of the new player Jedson, Chervichenko noted that despite the two high-priced players being more expensive than the entire "Akron" team, they could not stand out against the opposing players. He also commented on Khlusevich's expulsion from the field.
Chervichenko stated that there were no objections regarding this expulsion, but mentioned that "Akron" player Jjakovats could also receive a second yellow card. In his view, the referee's decision was very unclear.
He reminded that even more controversial decisions have been made against "Spartak" opponents. While discussing Khlusevich being cautioned twice within two minutes, Chervichenko emphasized that his departure from the club is now inevitable.
Although head coach Stankovich has been showing confidence in him lately, Chervichenko stated that Khlusevich will be sent to another team. At the end of the match, opinions were also expressed regarding Zobnin's penalty kick.
Chervichenko noted that Zobnin is not a player of "Spartak" level and that there is no possibility of forming a team that aligns with the club's goals. Despite expensive players being brought in, they are unable to stand out from the opponent.
It was mentioned that Zobnin receives a high salary but deprives the team of points. Chervichenko denied that "Spartak" had a failed start to the season.
In his opinion, it is "Rostov" that has started poorly, while "Spartak" has collected four points from three games. However, if the performance in the championship race is evaluated, the result is unsatisfactory.
Chervichenko does not consider it realistic for "Spartak" to rise above fifth place and cannot imagine the team even firmly establishing itself in fifth place. Elena Grigoryevskaya
