Insults to Zenit club: the management issued an official statement

Regular chants insulting the "Zenit" football club are heard in Russian stadiums. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In these chants, the Petersburg team is referred to as the disgrace of Russian football. In this regard, the chairman of the board of the "Zenit" club, Alexander Medvedev, commented.

According to Alexander Medvedev, these chants are meaningless and inappropriate. He also mentioned that the relevant organizations should take necessary measures regarding the penalties for such actions.

He stated that the club will officially respond to such situations and will appeal to the responsible authorities to resolve the issue. Currently, the "Zenit" football club is in sixth place in the Russian Premier League standings.

Under the leadership of head coach Sergey Semak, the team has collected five points by the end of the third round. In the next round, "Zenit" will face the "Akhmat" club away.
