Rubin team's head coach Rashid Rahimov expressed his thoughts ahead of the match against Sochi. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He urged his team to be cautious in assessing the opponent. According to Rahimov, although Sochi did not earn many points at the beginning of the season, this does not accurately reflect their level of play.
He stated that in some matches, important events occurred in a short period, and the opposing team generally performed well. The coach also highly evaluated the Sochi squad and bench, emphasizing that it would be wrong to underestimate the opponent.
Before the match, it was also mentioned that Yukich would return to the starting lineup after an injury. Rahimov noted that this decision is related to the player's full participation in group training.
He said they would see Yukich's capabilities on the field during the game. When asked about including the experienced player Oleg Ivanov in the starting lineup on his birthday, Rahimov stated that there was no need for that and that he does not make such decisions based on emotions.
The coach pointed out that many players in the Sochi team have played together, making them a dangerous opponent. He emphasized the importance of adequately assessing the opponent and preparing seriously against them.
The decision to include Yukich in the starting lineup is not solely related to one game element, but rather takes into account the overall appearance of the team's play.
