Former "Zenit" head coach Boris Rapoport commented on the actions of the team's goalkeeper Evgeniy Latyshonok in recent matches. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Latyshonok has not increased his mistakes as before, but he noted that he is saving the team less in crucial situations. In Rapoport's opinion, the goalkeeper is showing quite a lot of stability in his game, but his reliable actions have decreased in the last few matches.
Earlier, current head coach Sergey Semak also expressed dissatisfaction with Latyshonok's performance, stating that he is no longer able to save the team in important moments. Rapoport also specifically mentioned that Latyshonok was not to blame for conceding a goal in the match against CSKA in the third round of the Russian championship.
This season, Latyshonok has played in three matches and conceded a total of four goals. This contest ended with a score of 1:1.
“Zenit” currently has accumulated five points and is in seventh place in the league table.
