The former head coach of Moscow's Lokomotiv football club, Yuri Syomin, advised the team's midfielder Alexey Batrakov not to think about continuing his career in European clubs for now. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the specialist, when there are no concrete offers, getting caught up in such plans can hinder a player's development. Syomin stated that for now, this is just talk and there is no need to pay attention to it.
He emphasized that the competition in the world is very strong and said that Batrakov should focus on working harder and improving his skills. He reminded that if a player is always thinking about going to Europe, that dream may never come true.
According to Syomin, an athlete should primarily focus on working on themselves. Alexey Batrakov has played in four matches in the current season of the Russian championship and cup, managing to score four goals.
His current contract with Lokomotiv is set to last until June 30, 2029. The market value of the 20-year-old player is currently estimated at 12 million euros.
