The Dutch football club "Vitesse" has completely ceased its activities in the world of professional football. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This decision was made by the Utrecht court. The court found the decision of the Royal Dutch Football Association and the licensing committee to deprive the club of its professional license to be fair.
It has been revealed that the "Vitesse" club was deprived of the opportunity to obtain a license due to financial problems. Last season, due to financial difficulties, the team had 39 points deducted, resulting in them finishing last in the country's second-tier football league table.
This situation led to the club's inability to continue its professional activities. In previous years, specifically in 2018-2019, the "Vitesse" team was managed by Leonid Slutsky.
The club has now been removed from the list of professional football teams and will henceforth remain only as a memory in the history of Dutch football. Officials consider this decision important for the integrity and financial stability of football.
