The head coach of the "Liverpool" team, Arne Slot, expressed his opinion about the club's activities in the transfer market. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, over the past two years, Liverpool's net spending has been significantly lower than that of other clubs. During this period, the club has spent more than 300 million euros to acquire new players.
At the same time, the total income from selling players has been less than 150 million euros. Arne Slot emphasized that Liverpool is considered one of the main favorites in the Premier League because they were champions last season.
This is a natural situation, as strong players have joined the team. However, other clubs are also pursuing good transfer policies.
In Slot's opinion, it is precisely this competition that makes the English Premier League one of the most interesting and attractive football leagues. He noted that in recent years, only one team, namely last season's Liverpool, has achieved championship status with a modest transfer policy.
It is worth mentioning that on Sunday, Liverpool will face the "Crystal Palace" team in the English Super Cup.
