The expert and referee commission of the Russian Football Union made a decision regarding the situation that arose during the match between the "Baltika" and "Orenburg" teams held in the third round of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In this match, the chief referee Evgeniy Kukulyak allowed a player from the "Baltika" team to retake a penalty kick. According to the official conclusion of the commission, "Baltika" player Kvekveskiri was the first to touch the ball after it rebounded off the goalpost, thus interfering with the game and affecting "Orenburg" player Maksim Petrov.
These actions were deemed contrary to the procedure for taking a penalty. At the end of the match, the "Baltika" team won with a score of 3:2.
After the previous rounds, the Kaliningrad team is in third place with 7 points. "Orenburg," on the other hand, is in twelfth place in the competition table with 2 points.
The commission announced its decision regarding this situation on its official website. This decision is of significant importance for evaluating the referees' performance and making correct decisions in similar situations in the future.
