Experienced football expert Ilya Gerkus expressed his opinion regarding the possible resignation of Spartak's head coach Dejan Stankovich. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Stankovich has not been able to adapt to the Russian championship. Gerkus emphasized that the expected results from the coach are not visible and he is not bringing positive changes to the team.
On the contrary, more negative sentiments are being felt from Stankovich. He is said to be displaying an aggressive attitude towards opposing team players and referees.
In the expert's opinion, such behavior is not beneficial for the championship. Additionally, Gerkus compared Stankovich with CSKA's head coach Fabio Chelestini.
He stated that Chelestini quickly adapted to his new team and the Russian championship, showing positive results. For reference, after four rounds, Spartak is in 11th place in the league table with four points.
This result is reportedly not satisfying the team's fans and management. Experts believe that changes in the team's performance are necessary.
