New information has emerged about the reforms being implemented in Russian football. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to internal sources, new regulations for financial regulation in the country's football are planned to be introduced starting from the next season. While all the details have not yet been disclosed, one of the main changes is the establishment of a salary cap for players.
It has been announced that work is underway on this project and a relevant draft decision is being discussed. Additionally, earlier, the Russian Minister of Sports had indicated that new restrictions would be imposed on the number of foreign players in football.
According to the new regulations, clubs in the Russian Premier League will not be able to field more than five foreign players at the same time. At the same time, each club will be allowed to register a maximum of ten foreign players for the season.
These changes are being implemented to ensure order and financial stability in Russian football, as well as to support the development of local players. Officials aim to increase competition in the football sector and create opportunities for young players through these reforms.
The specific requirements and rules of the reforms are expected to be announced in the coming days.
