The head coach of the "Sochi" football club, Robert Moreno, shared his thoughts after the match against the "Krylya Sovetov" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
After the match, while discussing the first victory, he emphasized that although it was the first success of the season, the regular time ended in a draw. Moreno expressed satisfaction with the result but stated that he wanted to win in regular time.
The coach also commented on bringing goalkeeper Dyupin onto the field. He expects Dyupin's experience and skills to help the team, but noted that not only Dyupin but also other players who recently joined the team are gradually starting to show their potential.
He believes that their full adaptation and getting into good sporting shape will ultimately make the team stronger. He also explained the decision to bring in a defender who scored a goal and a forward onto the field.
The coach mentioned that such decisions were made to strengthen the result and enhance the attack. He also noted that Ignatov's goal was disallowed due to offside, which was very unfortunate.
Moreno emphasized his support for an attacking style of play, wanting to score more goals and for both players and fans to enjoy such games. He stated that he prefers a victory of 3:1 or 3:2 over 1:0 or 2:1, highlighting that football is for the fans.
While discussing the goal scored by the opponent in the final minutes of the game, the coach acknowledged that the team is still making some mistakes. He mentioned that there were indeed excessive errors in that particular situation and that they will work on reducing such occurrences in the future.
He emphasized that if that goal had not happened, it would have been possible to win in regular time.
