Former Russian footballer Aleksey Igonin shared his thoughts on the leadership's vote of confidence in Moscow "Dinamo" head coach Valeriy Karpin. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In an interview with "Chempionat," Igonin emphasized that the club is not making emotional decisions at the moment. Karpin will be given time at least until the winter break, allowing him to calmly shape the team during the pause.
As a reminder, Karpin was appointed head coach of "Dinamo" in the summer of 2025. Currently, the "white-blue" team is positioned mid-table in the Russian Premier League standings, with four rounds remaining.
On Wednesday, in the second round of the Russian Cup group stage, "Dinamo" lost 0-4 at home to "Krasnodar." This result is significant regarding the team's current state and the trust in the coach.
The leadership is ready to allocate sufficient time for Karpin to develop the team.
