Simeone chose a new midfielder for Atletico

Japanese national team midfielder Takefusa Kubo may sign a contract with Madrid's "Atletico," one of the prestigious clubs in the Spanish league. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the Marca publication, the 24-year-old footballer is attracting serious interest from "Atletico." The team's head coach Diego Simeone personally wants to add Takefusa to his squad.

So far, there has been no official offer from "Atletico" to the "Real Sociedad" club. In the 2024/2025 season, Takefusa Kubo played in 52 matches, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

His current contract is scheduled until mid-2029. The player is gaining attention in the Spanish league with his high-level performance and has opportunities to further develop his career in the future.
