The Tashkent football club «Paxtakor» officially announced that its Portuguese head coach Pedru Moreyra has taken a short leave due to health issues.
"Pedru Moreyra decided to take a temporary leave due to his health. During his absence, the team will be temporarily managed by former coach Kamoliddin Tojiyev," the club's press service reported.
According to reports, Moreyra's health situation has caused concern among many fans. The management of «Paxtakor» hopes for his speedy recovery and return to coaching the team.
Earlier, some media outlets reported on the departure of the Portuguese specialist. However, the «Paxtakor» club clarified that the coach has not left the team but has taken a temporary break.
It is worth noting that Pedru Moreyra took over «Paxtakor» in December of last year. Under his leadership, the team has not performed as well as expected in the Super League and is currently in 11th place in the standings with only 9 points. This has naturally raised concerns among fans and the club management.
Kamoliddin Tojiyev, who has temporarily taken over the team, is not a stranger to «Paxtakor». He has previously managed the club and is considered an experienced local specialist who has led the team to high achievements in the past. For now, he is expected to exert all his efforts to pull the «lions» out of this difficult situation.
Fans are closely watching how «Paxtakor» will perform in the upcoming matches and how these changes will affect the team's activities. The club management promises to utilize all possibilities to quickly resolve the situation.
