Uzbekistani boxers are achieving confident victories in Sofia
The 77th "Strandja" international boxing tournament taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, continues with intense and uncompromising battles. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team are actively participating in this prestigious competition, demonstrating their skills. In this edition of the tournament, the female members of our national team especially attracted attention with their confident performances.
In the -51 kg weight category, Feruza Kazakova, who stepped into the ring against Kazakhstani Jazira Urakboyeva, achieved a confident victory with a score of 5:0. She left no chance for her opponent with her precision, composure, and tactical skill.
This victory once again confirmed Kazakova's serious preparation for the competition. In the -57 kg weight category, Humorabonu Mamajonova fought against Brazilian Serkuero Romero.
During the fight, Mamajonova remained calm, showed determination at crucial moments, and won with a score of 3:2. This result clearly demonstrated her willpower and fighting spirit.
In the same weight category, another representative, Nigina Oktamova, stepped into the ring against English Elise Glinng. During the fight, Nigina maintained the initiative and managed to dominate her opponent.
As a result, she won 4:1 and advanced to the next stage. In the -60 kg weight category, two of our compatriots, Sitora Turdibekova and Mushtariybonu Ibrohimjonova, fought against each other.
The fight lasted two rounds, and before the third round, the coaching staff announced that Mushtariybonu would not continue the fight. Thus, Turdibekova advanced to the next stage.
In the -65 kg weight category, World Championship finalist Navbahor Hamidova won a technical victory in her first fight due to her opponent's absence. Although this situation was unfortunate for fans who could not watch the fight, Hamidova conserved her strength and advanced to the next stage.
According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, the tournament taking place in Sofia continues with a hopeful spirit for our national team. Our boxers continue to delight fans not only by winning but also by demonstrating high-level skill and determination.
