Kafu Brazil has revealed the reason for the failure of the termite colony.

Brazilian football legend Cafu shared his thoughts on the long-standing struggles of the Brazil national team, as reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the main reason Brazil has failed to win a sixth World Cup for over a decade is the excessive burden of responsibility placed on Neymar’s shoulders. The former defender believes that the team’s winless streak since 2014 is due to the lack of strong, experienced support around Neymar.
This was reported by Goal.com. Cafu recalled leading Brazil to victory in the 2002 World Cup, emphasizing that back then, stars like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho played together, sharing the responsibility for victory equally.
In that golden generation, success did not rely on just one player’s talent—instead, the duty to win was distributed among all teammates. However, since Neymar’s debut in 2010, he has largely been left to carry the weight and pressure of expectations alone.
This situation, Cafu argued, has negatively affected the team’s overall performance. Reflecting on his conversation with Roberto Carlos, he stressed how lonely it has been for Neymar to go without proper support for fifteen years.
In his view, a national team cannot achieve major success relying on the actions of just one player. Football is a team sport, and therefore, both tactical duties and mental pressure should be felt by every player on the field.
Only then can the team deliver the expected results and bring home the long-awaited sixth trophy that fans dream of. Speaking about the upcoming 2026 World Cup, Cafu added that for Brazil to succeed, new leaders must emerge around Neymar.
According to him, the team must now rely not just on individual brilliance, but on a unified and cohesive team effort. Only through this path can Brazil return to the top of world football and finally celebrate the long-awaited victory.
