Vincent Company left the Bayern Munich championship trophy in the restaurant

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany shared an unexpected and slightly stressful incident that occurred during the team’s German championship celebration. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Belgian specialist noticed the silver Meisterschale — considered the Bundesliga’s main trophy — had gone missing amid the festivities, having fallen into an enthusiastic crowd. According to Goal.com, the prestigious award was temporarily unaccounted for due to the coach’s momentary inattention.
Former Manchester City captain Kompany explained in the heat of the moment that he had left the valuable trophy at home, placed on the dining table, completely forgetting that someone had brought it to him the previous day with the agreement to return it for the ceremony.
When it became known that German football’s most important symbol was left near the toaster, the squad was already preparing for the official reception. The situation was salvaged by Kompany’s partner, Karla Higgs.
She rushed to deliver the trophy to the city center just minutes before the celebrations began. Kompany realized his mistake while en route to Marienplatz in central Munich, immediately contacted his family, and took action.
While the team was being received by the city mayor, the silver salver was still en route. It arrived in the hall as Bayern president Herbert Hainer was addressing the guests, allowing the ceremony to proceed as planned.
Afterward, the players followed tradition by appearing on the town hall balcony, celebrating the title before thousands of loyal fans. The moment also stirred emotions for departing midfielder Leon Goretzka, who was bidding farewell to the team.
The club honored him with a special tribute, and supporters warmly bid farewell to the experienced footballer. This incident became one of the most memorable and amusing episodes in Bayern’s recent championship history.
