Juventus vs Torino derby postponed

The next round of the Italian Serie A saw the Turin derby between Juventus and Torino delayed due to disturbances, Zamin.uz reported.
Violent clashes between the hardcore fans of the two clubs caused the match to start more than an hour after the scheduled time. After one of the hooligans suffered serious bodily injury and was taken to hospital, the issue of fan safety became a primary concern, and the match was put in doubt.
This was reported by Goal.com. According to local media, the confrontation between the supporters of both sides began with the use of pyrotechnics, glass bottles, and stones.
The situation escalated to the point where, as the Juventus team bus arrived at the stadium, it was attacked with various objects. These senseless incidents cast a serious shadow over what was supposed to be a festive evening for Italian football.
As a result of the disturbances, one hooligan sustained a serious head injury and was rushed to intensive care. Due to this incident, the question of whether the match should start was debated for a long time by the authorities.
While matches at other venues had already begun, the players from both clubs were forced to wait in the changing rooms in an uncertain situation. Eventually, it was decided to start the match later, but this decision was not accepted by the hooligan groups.
They demanded that the match be completely cancelled as a sign of respect for their injured comrades and in protest against inadequate security measures. After the official announcement that the match would begin, many hooligans in the away section left their seats and exited the stadium.
As a result, the match, which started nearly seventy minutes late, took place with one section of the stands empty. This incident once again brought the issue of strengthening security measures at Italian football matches to the forefront of discussion.
