Sergio Ramos' negotiations to buy Sevilla FC have stopped

The attempts of Sergio Ramos, former defender for Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, to purchase Sevilla football club have ended in failure. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Due to an unexpected and sharp reduction in the amount of funds offered by the football legend and his group of investors, the leaders of the Andalusian club decided to terminate the negotiations. According to Goal.com, the agreement process between the parties reached a dead end due to serious misunderstandings.
According to initial reports, two weeks ago, the parties had signed a letter of intent for a 440 million euro deal. According to the plan, a significant portion of these funds was to be used to increase the club's charter capital, make payments to shareholders, and settle the team's existing debts.
However, during the last meeting, the group led by Ramos came forward with unexpected demands, and the situation changed fundamentally. In the new stage of negotiations, Sergio Ramos participated alongside Roberto Alvarez, an experienced lawyer representing the interests of Mexican investors.
The new group reduced the total valuation of the club by half, proposing an offer of only 220 million euros. Under these terms, the investors aimed to own 42 percent of the club's shares for 120 million euros.
Such a low valuation caused sharp objections from the club's owners. Sevilla's management considered this new offer completely unacceptable for the club's future and reputation.
It has become known that the amount offered by Ramos's group was even lower than the funds from other investors that the board of directors had previously rejected. Thus, complex negotiations and preparation processes that lasted for more than five months ended without any result.
Currently, the Sevilla team is urgently searching for other partners to improve its economic situation and ensure financial stability. The club's management has expressed its readiness to communicate with new investors in order to increase the charter capital and implement development plans.
As for Sergio Ramos, the opportunity to return to his beloved team as an owner has been missed for now.
