Moscow CSKA and former USSR national team veteran Vladimir Ponomarov highly praised the summer pre-season training camp held under the leadership of new head coach Fabio Chelestini. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the pre-season preparation left a good impression, especially the results shown in the match against "Partizan" are particularly noteworthy. Ponomarov stated that CSKA will play in the traditional Soviet style under Chelestini's management, quickly transitioning from the midfield and attacking from the wings.
Chelestini was appointed as the head coach of CSKA in June of this year. He replaced the previous head coach, Serbian Marko Nikolich.
Chelestini previously worked at Switzerland's "Basel" club, where he was a champion and cup winner of the country. The new coach is expected to bring a new strategy and playing style to the team.
CSKA fans and experts hope that under Chelestini's management, the team will become stronger and achieve success.
