The Torpedo team was expelled from the Premier League due to attempts to organize fixed matches. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
On Friday, it became known that the Orenburg team will take the place of the auto workers. Lawyer Andrey Aleshkin, who works with Torpedo owner Leonid Sobolev, commented on this issue.
According to Aleshkin, Orenburg's entry into the Premier League is considered an anti-sport decision. He emphasized that if Orenburg considers itself to have entered the league through sports means, that is their own business.
It is also worth noting that Leonid Sobolev was recently detained as a precautionary measure. The new season of the Russian Premier League will start in a week, on July 18.
On that day, there will be a match between the Dinamo and Baltika teams. New teams are expected to participate this season, and competition is anticipated to intensify.
It is hoped that there will be interesting and lively games for Premier League fans.
