Former central defender of Madrid's "Real" team, Jesus Vallejo, will continue his career at the "Albacete" club, which participates in Spain's second division. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The 28-year-old footballer left the "royal" club as a free agent at the beginning of June. On Monday, the "Albacete" team officially announced his transfer.
Local fans warmly welcomed the new player, gathering in large groups along the street and chanting the name of the former "Real" defender. Jesus Vallejo defended the honor of "Real" for ten years but was loaned out to other clubs multiple times.
He played a total of 35 matches for the Madrid team, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Last season, "Albacete" finished in tenth place in the Spanish second division.
Now Vallejo aims to prove himself in his new team.
