Ponomaryov named the main contenders for the new RPL season

Former CSKA defender Vladimir Ponomaryov named the clubs that will compete for the championship in the 2025/2026 season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In his opinion, the CSKA team is among the main contenders, and their chances are rated highly. The expert emphasized that CSKA is determined to take first place.

At the same time, the "Krasnodar" team may drop to third or fourth place during the season. There is a possibility of problems related to the squad for head coach Semak, which will complicate their competition.

Additionally, the "Dinamo" and "Spartak" teams will also fight for the championship. According to Vladimir Ponomaryov, CSKA will secure the championship by the end of the season.

It is worth noting that on July 12, CSKA won the Russian Super Cup, defeating "Krasnodar" 1:0. The new season in the Russian Premier League will start on Friday, July 18.
