Olga Smorodskaya, who was previously the president of the Lokomotiv team, shared her thoughts on the new season of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The new season will start on Friday, with Moscow Dynamo and Baltika teams playing against each other. According to Smorodskaya, the main contenders for the championship include Krasnodar, Dynamo, and Zenit teams.

She noted that Dynamo is included in this list only because Valery Karpin has been appointed as the head coach. Smorodskaya also emphasized that CSKA does not have enough reserves to compete for the championship.

The former president of Lokomotiv does not believe that Spartak will take the first place in the new season. In her opinion, there is no basis for Spartak to become champions, and the team may not achieve success even with coach Stankovich.

The current champion of Russia is Krasnodar. This team won the Premier League championship for the first time in the summer.

In the new season, teams will compete against each other, and interesting matches are expected for the fans.
