Smorodskaya: The Lokomotiv team is remaining at an average level

Olga Smorodskaya, the former president of Moscow's Lokomotiv football club, criticized the current situation in the club and assessed the goal of entering the top three of the Russian championship as unattainable. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

She highlighted the weakness of the team’s composition and stated the need to work on the mistakes in this regard. According to Smorodskaya, the current team is average, and there are slightly excessive expectations placed on it.

She mentioned that discussions about entering the top three of the Russian championship and reaching the Cup final are excessive. Last season, the Lokomotiv team finished sixth in the championship, although they were temporarily leading in the first half of the season.

Mikhail Galaktionov, a young Russian specialist, has been serving as the club's head coach for three years. Overall, the goal is to strengthen the team’s composition and learn from mistakes to achieve better results in the upcoming season.
