Mbappe paid a large sum of money to the police, an investigation has started

According to RMC Sport, the National Police Inspectorate has launched an administrative investigation regarding an incident that occurred in 2023. At that time, Mbappe paid a total of 180,300 euros to five police officers.

They were tasked with protecting the French national team. Four police officers received 30,000 euros each, while their commander was given 60,300 euros.

Currently, the authorities are trying to determine why this money was paid. Kylian Mbappe emphasizes that he donated the money as a charity after consulting with his lawyer.

The footballer aimed to reward those who ensured the safety of players. According to his lawyer, such charity recipients should not declare it.

Mbappe is ready to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies. The authorities are trying to determine whether this funding is a charity or a payment for personal security services.
