
The Transfermarkt portal confirmed that forward midfielder Tyago Almada has moved from Brazil's Botafogo club to Atletico in Madrid, Spain. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Previously, the Atletico club's press service had reported on this transfer. According to the portal's information, Atletico paid 21 million euros to the Brazilian champion.
The contract has been signed until the summer of 2030, that is, for a period of five years. Tyago Almada is a player trained at the Argentine club Veles Sarsfield.
He played for Atlanta United from 2022 to 2024, and in the second half of last season, he played in Lyon, France, in Ligue 1. Additionally, Atletico recently added a 23-year-old American defender, a player from Betis and the US national team, to their ranks.
These transfers are aimed at further enhancing the team's collective strength.
