Former midfielder of the Russian national team Aleksandr Mostovoy criticized Valery Karpin for holding the positions of head coach of Moscow's Dynamo club and the national team simultaneously. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Russian Football Union allowed the specialist to work together under a condition: he must leave the capital club immediately after receiving permission for the national team to participate in international competitions. Mostovoy has emphasized throughout his life that such tasks cannot be combined.
According to him, there is no such situation in any country in the world, nor will there be. Although many are against such a situation, they are afraid to express their opinions, but he is ready to speak his mind freely as an open and honest person.
The expert also noted that there is no logic in combining such tasks since the national team is currently only playing friendly matches and Russian clubs are not participating in European competitions. At the same time, Mostovoy acknowledged that the "white-blue" team has a strong squad and can provide strong competition to the leaders of the Russian Premier League.
However, he reminded that Karpin has never won a trophy during his coaching career.
