Important news for Windows 11 and 10 users

Microsoft has released major updates for the Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems. The February 2025 update focuses on enhancing system security and improving user convenience, including important security fixes and new features.

This update presents a series of innovations for Windows 11 users (versions 23H2 and 24H2). One of the most notable features is the automatic restoration of "Explorer" (File Manager) windows, which allows users to recover open files when the computer is restarted.

Windows Studio Effects control has been added to the taskbar for devices with Neural Processing Units (NPU). Now, noise suppression and background effects can be adjusted with a single click. Additionally, the preview animation for applications has been improved, making the interface run more smoothly.

For gamers, auto-HDR has been optimized – the issue of overly saturated colors has been resolved, improving visual quality. Furthermore, errors such as the computer shutting down slowly when game controllers are connected and USB cameras being incorrectly detected have been fixed.

The main news for Windows 10 users (19044.5487 and 19045.5487) is the automatic integration of the new Outlook application. It will be added to the system menu but will not affect existing email settings. Additionally, the issue of virtual memory leaks that caused crashes in resource-intensive applications has been resolved.

The update addresses a total of 55 vulnerabilities for both systems, including:
CVE-2025-21391 – Risk of unauthorized deletion of files in Windows memory;
CVE-2025-21377 – Leakage of NTLM hashes posing a threat to account security;
CVE-2025-21194 – A flaw allowing bypassing UEFI protection.

Experts recommend installing this update as soon as possible. Some features, including the restoration of "Explorer" windows, will be activated gradually and are expected to reach all users within a few weeks. These updates confirm that Microsoft continues to support Windows 10.
