At a recent meeting, issues related to school education were discussed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The main focus was on the transport and infrastructure problems faced by students in remote areas. It was reported that currently more than 74 thousand students commute to school from distances of 5-7 kilometers.
This negatively affects the quality of education and complicates the daily movement of children. For this reason, the administrations of Qashqadaryo and Surxondaryo regions provided financial support and organized free bus services in 100 schools.
This initiative allows students to reach school safely and on time. Additionally, the governors of Samarkand and Jizzakh are planning to launch similar services for 100 schools within a month.
This practice serves as an example for other regions and helps facilitate students' mobility. It was announced at the meeting that 201 specialized schools have been established for talented students over the past three years.
However, construction and renovation works in 12 schools have not yet been completed. Relevant authorities were tasked with completing these works by the end of the year.
This decision was made to improve the quality of education, create modern infrastructure, and ensure stable access to education for students. As emphasized at the meeting, effective initiatives in the transport and infrastructure sectors should serve as a model nationwide.
Local authorities need to develop long-term plans in this direction (source: zamin.uz).
