Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, an Inclusive Center will begin operating under the National Social Protection Agency in Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by Podrobno.uz. This center is aimed at expanding educational and developmental opportunities for children with special needs.
Additionally, it is planned to establish multifunctional inclusive educational institutions based on special schools and boarding schools in other regions of the country. In these schools, children will be able to study in adapted classes, develop social and learning skills, and also follow individual education plans.
Moreover, they will be provided with opportunities to participate in correctional and vocational activities. From January 1, 2027, a professional certification system will be introduced at the Inclusive Center in Tashkent to assess teachers' knowledge and skills in inclusive education.
This system will serve to improve teachers' qualifications and enhance the quality of education. It should be recalled that in October of this year, at the 43rd session of UNESCO, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech and put forward a number of initiatives on new priority areas of humanitarian cooperation.
Among them is the proposal to create a UNESCO Platform aimed at developing inclusive education for children with special needs. This initiative is focused on strengthening international cooperation in the field of inclusive education.
