Uzbekistan ranked 108th in the international ranking – quality of life rated as 'high'
The CEOWORLD magazine, which evaluates the development of countries and the level of quality of life globally, announced the results of the Human Progress Index (HPI) ranking for 2025. According to it, Uzbekistan ranked 108th among 196 countries and was classified as having a "high" quality of life.

What is the index based on?

The Human Progress Index evaluates the quality of life in various countries based on three main areas:
  • Stability – economic growth, income, taxes, housing, life expectancy.
  • Satisfaction – safety, happiness index, education, healthcare, perception of corruption.
  • Balance – human rights, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and others.

A total of 23 indicators were evaluated on a scale of 100 points. Uzbekistan's overall score was 70.94 points.

Top 10 and Uzbekistan's position

The top three leaders of the 2025 ranking are:
- Switzerland
- Norway
- Iceland

The following positions are held by Hong Kong, Singapore, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, and Australia.

Uzbekistan ranked third among Central Asian countries, following Kazakhstan (96th place) and Turkmenistan (96th).

Results of other countries:
- China – 77th place
- Armenia – 78th place
- Azerbaijan – 92nd place
- Ukraine – 102nd place
- Kyrgyzstan – 119th place
- Tajikistan – 128th place

Thus, our country was rated well against new global standards.
